Jerry Perez is The Drive's deputy editor, overseeing the site’s daily and long-term content initiatives in addition to writing his own features and reviews. He’s been covering the automotive industry professionally since 2015 and joined The Drive in January 2018.

Jerry began his blogging career writing about his own family’s road trips and the many things he learned through them. This eventually opened up a door to write about all things automotive, and that’s what he’s done professionally since 2015. His car-blogging journey has taken him all over the world to experience everything from Italian supercars to seaplanes and even a highly-modified sports car driven by quadriplegic via head movements.

His work has appeared on Truck Trend Magazine, the official websites of the Chicago and LA Auto Shows, and he’s a regular guest of the DriveChicago radio talk show.

Jerry is a lifelong racing fan, more specifically Formula One. He enjoys traveling with his wife and kids exploring the world’s coolest roads and destinations. He was born in Mexico City, so he’s fluent in Spanish, English, and is actively studying Italian.
